Come join us for our first Truly Nourishing Nutrition and Cooking Class on Fats, Oils and Cholesterol on Monday, March
8, 2010, at 6:30pm. This class will help to clarify much of the misleading and confusing information regarding these
essential nutrients. We'll sort through some of the fears, myths and truths out there regarding fats and cholesterol so that
you can make more informed decisions regarding the food you eat.
Topics of discussion will include:
An explanation and description of the different types of fats and oils, i.e. saturated, polyunsaturated, etc.
A
review of the basic functions of cholesterol
and the different fats and oils in the body.
How
fats and oils are processed for consumption.
What foods contain the most beneficial forms of fats and oils.
The
assumed role of cholesterol in heart disease.
Along with our in depth discussion, we will also be featuring tasty food prepared by Chef Sean Dent. Chef Sean will
be teaching us how to prepare foods containing quality fats and oils so as to enhance our good health and well being.
So come join us for an evening of food and enlightenment regarding one of the most misunderstood and
important topics out there.
The charge for this class will be $30 per person. Payment at the time of reservation
will be required. You can make your payment by phone or in person. Cancellation refunds can only be made up to
